Delivery Driver

Hard Scrabble Blooms is looking for a dependable delivery driver to join our team for the upcoming flower season. We deliver directly to florists across Southern Ontario. Please see full details and application on Indeed.

Position Details

  • 3–4 days per week
  • Weekdays only (Monday to Friday)
  • Early start: approx. 6–7 am
  • Route begins and ends in Wabash, Ontario
  • Hourly wage + commission-based pay structure

What We’re Looking For

  • Preference for ages 30+, though we will consider younger applicants for the right candidate (insurance requirements)
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving an Isuzu cab-over 12-foot box truck (city and highway driving)
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional and well kept appearance
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs
  • Must be able to step into back of truck (steps and handles available)

Farm Assistant (April - October)

Hard Scrabble Blooms is hiring a Field Assistant to help with seasonal fieldwork from May through October. This role is not appropriate for a current student as day shifts are required for the duration of the job. Please see full details and application on Indeed.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone to support the core tasks that keep our flower farm running smoothly. The work is outdoors, physical, and rewarding — perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on and seeing the results of their efforts bloom (literally).

Main tasks include:

  • Weeding and bed maintenance
  • Planting successions and fall crops
  • Harvesting flowers and foliage - must have an attention for detail
  • Occasional help with bouquet prep and general farm tasks

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working outdoors, preferably in farming, landscaping, or horticulture
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift, bend, kneel, and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to and from our farm in Wabash
  • Dependable, efficient, and ready to learn

Details

  • Part-time, 2-3 days per week (flexible scheduling based on workload and weather)
  • Start date: May
  • End date: Mid/Late October
  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience
